Relay Update (april)

I promise to post pictures of the projects we made last week at Stamp camp!! This week has been so busy I just haven't gotten the camera out! We had a great time and Carinda even learned how to do a stamped candle without melting it!! Thanks to Patti K for helping out and for everyone who joined in the fun.

Special thanks to Kim Kim who stopped by to check out the commotion and now he wants to learn how to stamp! I spoke to him the next day and he is ready to go :)

I've also raised nearly $500 for Relay- almost half way there. My online thermometer isn't a true reflection of the donations since that only tracks donations received online!! I"ll keep you posted- our relay is in 3 weeks!!

Shane's Wish

Cards For Shane

I got this email yesterday... How cool to send this little boy some birthday cards.. come on girls!! Let's make Shane's birthday special!!! Stamp up a little love and send it his way!!! WE can make a difference in this little boy's life!! See more about Shane's story here (http://www.shaneswish.com/index.php).

Shane has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and is currently at the Children’s Hospital in Ontario, where he’ll undergo chemotherapy until June. When the Make-a-Wish Foundation asked Shane what his special wish would be, he wished to be in the Guinness Book of World Records for getting the most birthday cards. He'll turn 8 years old on May 30th, and he needs to get over one million cards!

Want to help? Send a birthday card (or two) to Shane by May 30th at the address below. Please help if you can–I imagine this is a pretty big deal for a kid who’s gone through much more than anyone should ever have to.

Send birthday cards to:

Stamp Club fun

If you weren't at Amy's house last night, you missed a great time. Amy and her neighbor's have decided to get a stamp club going. We'll be meeting the 2nd Thursday of every month - learning new techniques and sharing some ideas. These gals are also up for some swaps so I forsee some interesting new swaps in the near future.

Along those lines- If you have any wedding card ideas you would like to share, please email them to me and I'll post the card with your info on my blog.

Easter is here- but who would believe it from the weather outside?

Yikes, can you believe that it is Easter with the temperatures we are having?? BRRR- what happened to the 80's from last week? Anyway, I was cruising through the Sudsol site last night and found a great last minute Easter Gift idea-- (this may have been scraplifted from SCS). Anyway, it's for a Peep Jar (not that kind of peep!!). Some of you may know that Peeps are my all time favorite candy and I was thrilled to see this quick and easy gift idea.

It's for Peep Smore's. (another of my all time favorite foods). If you would like the recipe, just leave me a comment and I'll get it to you.

Yet another Relay Update :)

Just a quick thank you to everyone. I have now raised over $250 towards my Relay Goal and I have 4 weeks until Relay. Please help me spread the word about the Relay Stamp for a Cure. I think you are going to really enjoy the projects. Also, if you can't make the event, but still donate to the cause, I will put together a "goody bag" for you with all of the projects!!! What better way to help Stamp Out Cancer?

Cheers,
mary

Relay for Life- New information

Wow, things are starting to fall into place. Thanks to Jennifer at Sumner Medical Center who has donated a room for my Relay Fundraiser. Based on room availability- the date for Relay Stamp camp has been set for Tuesday- April 17 from 6 - 9 p.m. A $20 donation to Relay will open the doors to you :)

Light appetizers and beverages will be provided along with plenty of crafting, fellowship and fun! Space is limited to 25 people so please help me get the word out and register soon.

I've added a picture of one of the projects that we will be making- a mini memory album. This idea was "CASEd" from Sudsol. I think you will really like it.
